During the 16-17 season, 1,881 Summit/D2 Summit Bids will be awarded. Summit Bid Declarations are the written procedures HOW your favorite competitions will award Summit Bids this season. Why is this important? These declarations explain how full paid, at-large bids, and wild  card bids will be awarded by each competition. News-2017 Updated D2 Summit Rules

The D2 Summit has implemented new rules for the 2016-2017 season including the following: 1. D2 Summit will now be offering Wild Card bids across select Varsity All Star events! These Wild Card Bids give Youth, Junior and Senior teams the chance to earn their way into the D2 Summit. 2. 1st and 2nd place WILDCARD teams advance straight to FINALS on Sunday and 3rd place WILDCARD teams will move to Saturday.  3. Teams accepting Wild Card Bids are NOT eligible to accept At-Large D2 Summit Bids, however, they can upgrade to a Paid D2 Summit Bid. News- 2017 Updated Summit Rules

Varsity has released the 2017 Updated Summit Rules which includes the following changes:  1. The Summit will no longer pass down bids from teams who decline bids or teams that are upgraded to Paid Bids.  2. Any Wild Card bid giving event that moves their event outside of the Wild Card bid giving months, October- March, will lose their Wild Card bids.
